DESCRIPTION
A detailed look at contemporary Criminal theory. Exploration of new advancements in Criminology.

REQUIRED MATERIALS & TEXTBOOKS
Book Brown, Esbensen, Geis: Criminology, Explaining Crime and its Context, 5th Edition, Anderson Press, ISBN 1-59-345958-0
Book Wilson, James Q.: The Moral Sense, Free Press, ISBN 0-68-483332-8

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
  • BOOK REVIEW: The student is to read The Moral Sense, and re-view the book using comparisons with the readings from the general text. The review must be typed, double-spaced using one to one and one half inch margins on the top, bottom and sides. The re-view must be AT LEAST 5 pages in length.

  • TESTS: Students will be required to take 2 tests. Test one is to be taken after the student completes reading through Chapter 10 in the Criminology, Explaining Crime and its Context textbook. Test 2 is to be taken after completion of this text. Both TEST 1 and TEST 2 have been sent to the student in the course packet. Both tests are essay exams and use of the book, and student notes is acceptable. Both tests are to be typed, double-spaced, with one to one and a half inch margins.
