MGMT 201: Principles of Management
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
Managerial processes related to planning, organizing, leading, decision-making, and controlling. Modern management techniques will be emphasized. E-mail available. Prerequisite: BUSAD 101 or permission of instructor for non-business majors.

MGMT 301: Organizational Behavior
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
Behavior of individuals and small groups in organizational settings. Managerial style, social system analysis, motivation and communication. E-mail available. Prerequisite: MGMT 201.

MGMT 311: Operations and Quality Management
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
Tools, techniques, and skills used in the management of the production function: those activities that transform inputs such as raw materials, capital, technology into a useful bundle of goods and services for customers. E-mail available. Prerequisite: MGMT 201, MATH 220 or BUSAD 265, or for non-business majors MATH 156.

MGMT 318: Human Resource Management
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
Recruiting, testing, interviewing, training, and evaluating workers; planning for personnel needs; establishing personnel functions; employment laws; establishing pay plans. E-mail available. Prerequisite: MGMT 201.

MGMT 362: Purchasing and Materials Management
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
The course provides an introduction to the purchasing and materials management function within organizations. Topics include purchasing objectives and policies, operating procedures, organization, specifications, standardization, make-or-buy, sources of supply, pricing, cost analysis, contracts, negotiation, quality, inventory, stores, receiving, and ethical purchasing behavior. MGMT 410: Labor Management Relations
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
Federal and state legislation and execution and executive orders governing the employer-employee relationship; legal rights of organizations and collective bargaining. E-mail available. Prerequisite: MGMT 318.

MGMT 414: Entrepreneurship (The Study of Small Business)
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
The course explores the management, marketing, accounting and legal considerations facing the small business manager and owner. Each student will develop a business plan or feasibility study as part of the course work. E-mail available. Prerequisites: BUSAD 302, FIN 330, MGMT 301, MGMT 311, MKTG 340.

MGMT 460: Operations Strategy

Tools, techniques, and skills used in the development of the operations plan to allow an organization to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace through choice of process and infrastructure. E-mail available. Prerequisite: MGMT 311.

MGMT 468: Total Quality Management
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
Concepts and techniques of quality improvement processes. Defining quality in customer satisfaction terms and improving quality of products and service through modern techniques. E-mail available. Prerequisite: MGMT 311.

MGMT 485: Management Strategy and Policy
3 semester-hour credits - Tuition $448.50
The course integrates all previous business core courses into a realistic and scientific approach to the solution of organizational problems and evaluation of opportunities. The course concentrates on the long-term aspects of business operations and uses the case study method extensively. E-mail available. Prerequisites: Accounting I & II, Economics I & II, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Business Statistics, Computers and Information Systems, Organizational Behavior and Production/Operations Management.
