| History 311 (US Foreign Policy) will
examine United States’
foreign affairs from the early beginnings during the
American Revolution to the present day. We will explore
the events and personalities that have played a role in
a developing United States’ foreign policy. The United
States has come a long way from a time when it barely
was able to gain independence to its present position as
the preeminent power in the world. We will examine what
brought the United States to this juncture and explore
the challenges and options the nation faces today.
