Macroeconomics provides the basis for the understanding of these overall (or macro) economic conditions. REQUIRED MATERIALS & TEXTBOOKS Guide: Principles of Macroeconomics: Lecture and Study Guide. By Kevin Duncan. Text: Macroeconomics: Principles and Policy, 10th Edition by William Baumol and Alan Blinder COURSE REQUIREMENTS The midterm will cover the material from lectures #1 through #10. The final will cover material since the midterm (lectures #11 to #20). The instructor will select at random 3 of the assignments (homework) that are found at the end of each lecture in the guide. After you have taken the final, remove the questions from the guide and return them to the instructor for grading. Paper - Select a newspaper or magazine article. Search for something with economic content. You need to select the main issue and provide a detailed explanation of this point using the tools discussed in class. Turn in a copy of the article with your paper, including the date and where it appeared. Papers are to be typed, double spaced and no longer than 3 pages.
